Ross excited to check out Colorado

Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany wide out Devin Ross committed to Colorado back in August and will visit the Buffs this coming weekend.

Devin Ross was one of the state's most explosive receivers this past season. He gave an early commitment to Colorado and said he remains committed despite a coaching change following the Buffs season.

"Colorado is still recruiting me really hard," Ross said. "I've talked with the new offensive coordinator, Coach Lindgren and the new receiver coach as well. They're both coming over for a home visit this Wednesday and I'm taking my official visit this weekend.

"I've heard great things about Boulder and can't wait to get out there. I know it's a beautiful campus and the new staff has a great winning attitude. They need receivers pretty bad at Colorado and I think I can come in and play right away. There is really nothing but plusses with Colorado right now."

There is one other school still recruiting Ross and that's California.

"Cal hasn't offered yet but they want me to visit (Jan. 25)," Ross said. "I've been talking with Coach Dykes and he's a good guy. Cal took a lot of receivers last year but they needed to because they didn't have a lot of depth there.

"I'm looking forward to taking these two visits but I'm feeling good about Colorado right now. There's a reason I committed there and I know what a good school it is. I'm excited about the future of the program and I think I'll fit in well there."
