Last month on December 7th, Jordan Huff made his verbal commitment to Northern Illinois. The senior running back at St. Paul's Episcopal School (AL) announced his decision during an official visit to the campus.

"I took my visit with some other committed recruits," Huff explained, "and I committed that weekend. Northern Illinois had recruited me for awhile.

"This year, they made it to the Orange Bowl," Huff continued. "I loved everything I saw up there. I loved the coaching staff as well; I speak with them about once a week on the phone."

Since making his verbal commitment, Huff has built a similar relationship with another coaching staff.

"Right now, my decision is between NIU and North Carolina State," Huff explained. "I'm committed to NIU now, but I have a visit scheduled to NC State this month."

Huff will officially visit NC State on January 25th as the men's basketball team welcomes North Carolina to town.

"These are the two I'm considering right now," Huff said of NIU and NC State. "I'm also open to anything else that could come along."

While on his visit to NC State, Huff will compare his future on campus to that at NIU.

"I just want to see what they have to offer and if I could see myself there in the future," Huff said. "I want to see what kind of education I'll get and see the facilities.

"I want to know that I can grow there as a person."

The 5-foot-11, 205 pound back also holds offers from Arkansas State, Duke, Louisiana Tech and South Alabama. Although he is open to taking an official visit after NC State, Huff has not yet scheduled another.
