Pirates add pledge

Seton Hall needed a scorer on the wing and they found one on Thursday evening.

The Seton Hall Pirates are looking to re-build with a talented 2013 class, and they just added to it with Jerron Wilbut. Wilbut is a native of Illinois who is now doing his prep school year at Delafield (Wisc.) St. John's Northwestern Military Academy.

At 6-foot-3 with an ability to really shoot the ball with some solid athleticism and a decent ability to take the ball off the dribble, Wilbut put himself on the radar of numerous high-major programs, and in the end Seton Hall won out according to high school coach Bryan Clayton.

"He had a lot of comfort with the staff and there is an opportunity for him to come in and earn minutes right away," said Clayton about the decision.

Wilbut is a three-star prospect who is having a very solid year. He will join four-star prospect Aquille Carr in the Pirates 2013 class.
