Interest Picking Up For Norvell

While still looking for a Division One program to offer, Denzel Norvell is keeping his options open looking at other programs as National Signing Day approaches.

After rushing for 2,488 yards and 41 touchdowns this past season, Dayton (Ohio) Thurgood Marshall running back Denzel Norvell is starting to see his recruitment pick up steam.

"Coach (Richard) McNutt from North Carolina State stopped in school and talked with me recently," said Norvell. "He was at Northern Illinois but I'm not sure if they are going to have anything for me. I'm also looking at Indiana State who has a new head coach and Findlay."

While early in the process the 5-foot-6, 170-pound Norvell wanted to prove he could be a running back, he's now open to any position and feels he can still bring his offensive talents to the college level.

"Right now I'm just looking for a chance to prove what I can do," explained Norvell. "I can see myself playing the slot and making things happen with my ability to make people miss."
