The 6-foot-4 Gill scored 50 points for the second time in a game this season on Monday, hitting 10 three-pointers and netting 50 in a 97-75 victory over the junior-varsity team at Guilford College (N.C.).
Gill, who is averaging over 20 points a game along with fellow U of L signee Terry Rozier, now has two of the top four all-time single-game scoring honors at Hargrave. He set a school-record with 56 in a game earlier this season, surpassing current U of L freshman Montrezl Harrell's 51 from a game last season. Rozier also scored 50 in a game earlier this season.
The win puts Hargrave at 26-5 on the season and comes just five days before the team makes their only appearance in the city of Louisville.
Hargrave will play Stone Mountain, Ga., Action Sports Academy on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at Iroquois High School in the Louisville HoopFest presented by Body Shapes Medical.
"We're going to put on a show," Gill said.
Tickets for the four-game event will be $10 and will be on sale at the gate. The first game of the day begins at 3:15 p.m.
