"My trip to Wake Forest went well, I liked it," said Jacobs. "Kevis Jones was my host."
Jacobs spent time talking with Derrick Jackson, the Deacons' linebackers coach.
"I talked with Coach Jackson a lot and got to meet Coach (Jim) Grobe," said Jacobs. "Coach Grobe is a really nice go."
Jacobs said he liked the campus and the area, though it wasn't as big as he thought it would be.
"It was kind of a small campus, which kind of surprised me, but it was a nice campus," said Jacobs. "The weather was nice. It was a little snowy but for the most part, it was nice."
This weekend, Jacobs will visit Wisconsin, and on Monday night, he had new Badgers defensive coordinator Dave Aranda in home.
"Coach Aranda came in last night and they've offered me as an outside linebacker," said Jacobs. "He laid out their defense. They're switching to the 3-4 from the 4-3, so right now at my position, they have three players, two are walk-on's and one is a freshman. Most of their scholarship guys are inside linebackers so they need some outside linebackers."
And Jacobs said the Badgers are in a good place for him.
"I'm visiting this weekend and I'm leaning to them right now," said Jacobs. "We'll see what happens when I get there."
The former Fresno State commit, though, said the Bulldogs are no longer under consideration.
