Oak Grove High cornerback Chidobe Awuzie took his third official visit this past weekend, to Colorado, and it's likely the last visit that Awuzie will take.
"It was real nice and I liked everything about it," said Awuzie. "I was real comfortable there."
Awuzie was hosted on his trip by Greg Henderson and spent time with several of the other visitors who were making the trek to Boulder.
"The school is beautiful and you know Colorado is a good academic school, so that's important to me," said Awuzie. "The facilities are beautiful and Colorado is a Nike test school so they get a lot of new cool gear first."
Awuzie said he didn't want to make a decision yet, though, and wants to take as much time as he needs, in making his college choice.
"I don't want to rush anything," said Awuzie. "One day I feel something and the next I feel something else. So I'm taking my time and having my in-home visits. Every school has their benefits and it's really close, so you can say all three are even."
Already this week, Washington State and San Jose State have had in-homes with Awuzie and Colorado will be coming in on Wednesday.
"Coach (Mike) Breske from Washington State came in on Monday and San Jose State had Coach (Donte) Williams and Coach (Terry) Malley come in," said Awuzie. "And Coach Mac (Mike MacIntyre) from Colorado is coming on Wednesday."
Awuzie said next week he expected Washington State head coach Mike Leach and assistant coach Jim Mastro by as well as Colorado secondary coach Charles Clark.
While he still has two official visits left, he will likely not take any of them.
"I could if I wanted to but I think I'm going to stick with these three schools," said. "I'm not going to guarantee I'm completely done, but I'm probably done with trips."
