2014 Stars Headed to TCU
The 2013 class is still not in the books but it's never too early to look ahead to 2014. Especially when TCU is about to host a junior day and some of the top prospects in Texas will be in attendance. Aldine Eisenhower is home to 2014 signal caller Trey Roberts and Donald Catalon. HornedFrogBlitz.com spoke with Roberts and the 6'2" 190 pound QB is ready to get to get the recruiting process going full swing. "The recruiting process is real slow right now but it's starting to speed up because it's getting closer to signing day and things are starting to pick up for me" said Roberts. "I'm just waiting patiently for my time and I know its coming." With signing day just around the corner for the class of 2013, things are definitely about to pick up for Roberts and fellow 2014 stars. It's about time for schools to start hosting 2014 prospects for junior days and Roberts is ready to get the ball rolling. "I'm going to be going to a junior day at Texas A&M and me and another player plan on going to TCU's junior day" he said. "They haven't talked to us about an offer yet but I hope we get one when we visit." With the news that another player would be accompanying Roberts, we asked who he would be making the trip with. "Me and Donald Catalon are going to come up there" said Roberts. "He's already committed (to Texas) but he wanted to see what it was like up there with me." "I've been looking at TCU recently" he said. "They had a good a good season this year but I know they'll get better." Although Roberts doesn't currently hold an offer, expect that to change in the very near future. Programs from across the region are already aware of the talented signal caller and they've started reaching out to him. "I've been hearing from Oklahoma State, they asked me to come down for a junior day but I won't be able to attend" said Roberts. "That's it other than TCU and A&M but I'm just looking for the right fit." Although he plays quarterback and he's highly thought of there, Roberts says he just wants to win and help his team any way he can. "I'm hearing quarterback and I'm hearing athlete, it's really here and there" said Roberts. "I really just want to play anywhere I can to help the team."
