Missouri On Tap To Get Junior Day Visit

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke to one of the top offensive line prospects in the class of 2014, not only in Missouri, but in the country, about his recruitment and plans for this spring, including any junior day and unofficial visits he may take.

2014 Hazelwood (MO) Central OT Roderick Johnson 6'7" 320 5.3 forty has been on a rapid climb in the recruiting world since last summer. I remember seeing the massive offensive lineman for the first time between his freshman and sophomore years and knowing then at 6'6" 305 with his athleticism that his future would be a bright one.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Johnson last night to  get the very latest on his recruitment.

"Oh, it's going good, going good. I really having been paying to close of attention to it," said Johnson."I don't even know how many offers I have really. I would have to sit down and figure it out. I know I did pick up an ones from Ohio State, Illinois and Michigan. And of course I remember my Missouri offer off the top of my head. However, I haven't really been focusing on it. I plan on sitting down with my Mom soon and figuring out what schools I will be taking some unofficial visits to this spring.

Roderick knew of at least two schools who he would be going to see in the coming months.

"I will be going to see the local schools Missouri and Illinois for sure. They are both recruiting me hard and are easy to drive to for us,"said Johnson.

I asked Roderick to be specific about his thoughts on Missouri and when he might be taking a trip there?

"I like Missouri a lot. They are close and I have a good relationship with Coach Ford. We've talked a lot. They struggled a little in the new conference due to injuries, but they are trying and they will get it done. My coach told me Missouri was coming by my school today. I will be making a junior day visit there, and another visit for spring football coming up sometime."

It looks like he will give the home state college a good chance to show him they are right for him.

ShowMeMizzou.com continue will follow up on the latest recruiting news and information regarding Roderick Johnson and the 2014 class.
