Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive tackle, Kenny Lacy, initially committed to UCLA in September.
Since his pledge, the four-star recruit has taken a number of visits. The latest of the bunch, was a trip to Fayetteville last weekend, in order to check out Arkansas.
"I loved that trip," Lacy reports. "I was very impressed with the facilities and everything up there.
"I liked being around the coaches and stuff. Coach B came from Wisconsin and they have a good offensive line, they showed me that they could prepare me."
The overall experience was a good one, but there was one thing in particular that stood out in Lacy's mind.
"The highlight for me was probably the weight room and the strength and conditioning program that they have there," he shares. "That was the best part of it for me."
As of now, Lacy considers himself a Bruin, though he's quick to add that his ultimate fate is still publicly unknown.
"I'm committed to UCLA," he states. "But I'll let both coaching staffs know my plans for the final decision on Monday."
"I haven't decommitted from UCLA as of today, but I'll let both staffs know on Monday what my choice will be."
The final decision that he plans to make public next week, has already been made.
"I've made up my mind," Lacy says. "Just from talking with my family, weighing the pros and cons of both places, where I'll fit in, and just what's best for me."
Why wait to reveal his destination?
"That's just what I decided," Lacy tells FOX Sports NEXT. "I'll let them know two days before I will sign."
Each school has caught the prospect's attention for different reasons.
"The best thing about UCLA is the coaching staff and all the guys that are going there, so it'd be a lot of fun," he describes. "At Arkansas, their strength and conditioning program was what stood out to me the most."
Regardless of where he ends up, Lacy's goal is set.
"My plan is to come in and make an impact as early as I'm ready to," he states. "So whenever I'm ready to play, I want to be able to make an impact."
One way or the other, Lacy is relieved to be putting ink to paper in less than a week.
"Yeah, I will be signing on Wednesday," he confirms. "I can't wait."
