As we head into the final weekend of recruiting before Signing Day 2013 for the Missouri Tigers, it appears that they will have a lone visitor this weekend in Montgomery (AL) Carver S Shaun Rupert 6'0" 185. It is very likely that Rupert, who is currently committed to Arkansas State, will switch his commitment to Missouri on his visit or shortly after.
Besides Rupert, the Missouri Tigers will likely finish up their 2013 recruiting class from among the following targets.
Ezekiel Elliott 6'0" 200 RB John Burroughs- While he is committed to Ohio State, Elliott took an official visit to Mizzou last weekend and has not publicly re-affirmed his commitment to the Buckeyes. Word coming from Buckeye land is that he has either done so to their coaches this past week or he is waiting to see where Texas RB Dontre Wilson lands before his signing ceremony on Feb 6th at 3pm. I have been told by sources that his official visit was on par to that of DGB's and that the chance of Elliott signing with Missouri is very real.
Maliek Collins 6'2" 270 DT KC Center- Collins committee to Nebraska on January 6th after an official visit there. Since then Missouri has not conceded him to the Huskers and has continued to recruit him. Maliek is playing it close to the vest and will be signing on Feb 6th at 11am. It always seemed to be a two team race between Nebraska and Missouri and I think it could come down to a signing day decision by Collins.
Duron Singleton 6'1" 210 S Fresno City (CA) C.C.- Singleton has claimed Missouri as his top team to ShowMeMizzou.com for several weeks. Besides visiting Missouri, he has also visited Syracuse, and picked up a late offer from Wisconsin. Despite considering taking an official visit to that school, Singleton informs us that he will not be visiting there and will be deciding soon.
Joshua Outlaw 6'5" 290 OT Lithonia (GA)- Outlaw visited this past Monday after previously visiting Oklahoma and TCU the weekend before. He will be making an official visit to Texas Tech. Wore is that Outlaw has a good chance to qualify now and will be making his decision following his return from Lubbock.
Kolton Shindelar 6'6" 252 TE Liberty- Shindelar seemed to be headed to Tulsa or Memphis before receiving an offer from Missouri. Since then, schools such as Baylor and K-State have enter the picture with offers. Kolton told me this morning that he is headed to K-State today for his last official visit and will be announcing his decision on Sunday.
The Tigers could sign anywhere from one to all six of those players come Signing Day.
Dimarya Mixon 6'4" 245 DE - Considered a soft verbal to Missouri. Mixon said last night that he is still committed to Missouri, but wanted to take a trip. He will make a final decision following his visit.
