Pike Adds Second Offer

After missing a year on the gridiron and hardwood, Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder tight end Devin Pike has knocked the rust off his game. After a successful fall campaign on the gridiron, Pike is back on the hardwood but his future looks to be college football.

This winter Devin Pike is finding his stroke averaging just over 12 points and 8 rebounds a game for Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder High.

Known as a two-sport standout prior to his transfer to the Greater Catholic League program, Pike is seeing his solid year in football for the Panthers opening up some doors earning his second scholarship offer this past week.

"Toledo offered me this week," said Pike. "They stopped by school to let me know they offered. I also have an offer from Illinois."

The Rockets are not the only program to have stopped by school.

"Bowling Green, Northwestern, Maryland and Ohio State have also stopped by," explained Pike. "Once basketball is over I'll be looking to visit several programs and know I'm going to get over to Illinois and up to Northwestern and Toledo then."
