Blaise Taylor Visits GT for Junior Day

Auburn, Alabama athlete Blaise Taylor recently picked up his second offer. The versatile junior also recently attended a Junior Day at one of the schools showing him interest.

Profile - Blaise Taylor

The interest in Taylor is increasing with the most recent offer for Taylor coming from Tennessee. Arkansas State is the other school that has offered Taylor. "I also attended the Junior Day at Georgia Tech."

Taylor has four schools that he feels are recruiting him the hardest. "Right now I would have to say Florida State, Georgia Tech, Stanford, and Vanderbilt are the ones I am hearing from the most."

One interesting twist to that list is Taylor's relationship with former Tech and current Florida State coach Charles Kelly. "We built a good relationship and when he went to Florida State I had a coach that I already knew well."

The Kelly move to Florida State hasn't hurt the way Taylor looks at Georgia Tech. "I have a great relationship with Coach (Ted) Roof and Coach (Mike) Pelton. Both are great guys and I really like them a lot." Blaise also has another link with Tech. "My former baby sitter when I was very young works at Georgia Tech and I know she loves it there."

On his visit to Tech, Taylor spent some time with Coach Paul Johnson and the other coaches. "They said they really liked my film and they talked to me about playing either of the defensive backfield spots." Taylor likes the idea of playing both positions. "They are recruiting me as an athlete because they love my versatility."

Following his trip to Georgia Tech, Blaise will be visiting Tennessee on the 16th. "I also hope to make it out to Stanford on March 23rd for a visit." Taylor has not finalized the Stanford visit.

Taylor lists academics as the primary factor in choosing a school. "I will also look at the people (students, athletes, coaches) and see how I fit in with them." A final factor for Blaise will be his relationship with his position coach.

Blaise is not looking to make an early decision. "I will decide in December. I am planning on enrolling early."
