Not bad, right?
As a senior at Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln High School, Davis ran for 1,806 yards and 23 touchdowns. At Lincoln, he was also a Trojan.
He decided on May 17 that he wanted to be a Trojan four more years, verbally committed to USC and head coach Lane Kiffin. "The synergy of the academics and athletics is like no other," Davis told FOX Sports NEXT after committing.
The 6-foot-1 215-pound back made his decision on the heels of future teammate Ty Isaac. Isaac is also a five-star recruit who verbally committed to the Trojans on May 15. He is expected to sign with the Trojans on National Signing Day.
"We were talking about how we're going to be the top two running backs in the nation going to the same team," Davis said. "We're going to have that one-two tandem."
In the tandem, Davis will have a head start. He enrolled early at USC along with six other 2013 recruits. "We're the class that's going to get in there and hopefully change a lot of stuff," Davis told FOX Sports NEXT in January. "(We will) get USC back to those glory days."
Davis was named an Army All-American.
His only official visit was to USC.
Greg Biggins on Justin Davis:
Davis has everything you're looking for in back with the ability to run between the tackles with power and the speed to bounce it outside and go the distance. He's a decisive runner who doesn't try and dance around too much but runs downhill and finishes his runs. Davis can make you miss and has a bit of wiggle to him but he's more of a one cut back and would rather go north-south than anything else.
