Weaver pumped up to be a Commodore

Tight End Mack Weaver of Harding Academy (Memphis,Tenn.) has signed with the Vanderbilt Commodores. Look inside for photos and quotes from Weaver.

"It feels great," said Weaver. "I was just telling my dad how good it felt to be a Commodore because I know that I not only made the right decision, but also the best choice possible from schools I didn't have offers from."

"I talked to the coaches for a little while after I signed. They were powered up because of this class that's coming in. They were saying how excited they were that they brought in so much talent this year. They're expecting big things from us and I'm expecting big things out of myself."

Weaver had a signing day ceremony at his high school at 11:30 a.m. with a support group of friends, family, his head coach, Ryan Derrick and close friend and teammate, Zach Collins, who signed with Memphis. The 6-foot-6, 250-pound defensive end says he'll be on campus by June 3rd.
