Junior Film: Jacob Francis

Liberty junior Jacob Francis was one of the most highly-decorated offensive linemen in Kansas City in 2012. The All-State blocker blasted open holes while playing four different positions on offense. Go Inside the film room for a look at one of The Show Me State's top prospects for 2014...

Jacob Francis did it all for Liberty (MO) High School in 2012. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound junior dominated opposing defensive linemen, whether he lined up at guard, tackle, tight end, or H-back. Regardless of where Head Coach Chad Frigon put the talented 2014 prospect, he was a key factor in the Blue Jays' ability to move the football.

A quick-footed blocker with good size, Francis is an explosive player that gets off the ball. He is quick to engage defenders with his hands, creating good initial shock and maintaining inside position with his hands. He plays with good leverage, bends well at the knees, and rolls his hips as he powers through defensive linemen. He moves very well in space, as highlighted by his work as an H-back, and demonstrates good quickness as a downfield blocker in the run game.

As a First Team All-Conference, All-State, and All-Metro Kansas City selection, Francis played at a very high level as a junior. With early interest from Baylor, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Mizzou, he is well on his way to being among the most-coveted offensive line prospects in Missouri for 2014.
