Sanders took solace in knowing he would be without a nice free camp shirt following the event.
"Free stuff is the best stuff," said Sanders. "That is what we say at Cass Tech. When they tore my free shirt, I was mad. But it's all good as there was a reason my shirt was torn."
Sanders attended Sunday's event for more than a free camp shirt that offensive linemen used to try and control his quick first step off the edge.
"I came to have fun and compete," said Sanders. "I had fun and was able to compete and that will make me a better player. So I got better today."
Sanders, who stands 6-foot-4, 235-pounds, has no offers but feels things are about to change.
"An offer would mean a lot to me as I will then know I'll be going to college."
Sanders, who is looking forward to his visit with the Hoosiers is looking forward to his visit for more than just the football.
"I'm a big basketball fan," said Sanders. "They are the No. 1 team in the country and it's Big Ten football. I know they'll have a great atmosphere."
