A former Stanford running back is also a future Stanford running back. Tyler Gaffney has decided to quit professional baseball to return for his senior season on The Farm. He joined David Lombardi on The Bootleg Radio.

Tyler Gaffney averaged 6.1 yards per carry the last season he played football for Stanford. With all-time leading rusher Stepfan Taylor graduating, the Cardinal can use a back with every-down potential in 2013. With Gaffney, David Shaw's squad has added speed, power, blocking ability, and excellent hands out of the backfield. After a laborious decision, Gaffney's heart is with football now.
