On Wednesday Cuney called his recruiter from TCU, cornerbacks coach Clay Jennings. The two discussed TCU's junior day and the possibility of an offer.
"I called coach Jennings and he was telling me he wanted to get me to their junior day and to their campus as soon as I can," he said. "It's amazing getting an offer from any school but TCU is a pretty good school so that's good."
Texas is another school that has peaked Cuney's interest.
Cuney will attend a junior day at Texas where he is expected to "officially" receive an offer from the Longhorns. While the Longhorns continue to stand atop his list of favorites, Cuney says it's not likely he'll make a commitment while in Austin.
"When I go down there they will make it official (the offer)," he said. "They're still my number one team. But, I'm still going to wait."
The rising prospect knows that once a few teams extend offers, more teams will come forward.
"I think a lot of them are close, they're just waiting and once it's out there I think a lot of them will," Cuney said of impending offers.
