Cripps led the Chargers to an 8-3 record in 2012, which included a perfect 6-0 record in district play. He did plenty of damage to opponents in just 11 games, passing for 2,836 yards with 23 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. He also surpassed the 300-yard mark in four of those games.
It's obvious Cripps is a good passer but he also showed good durability on the ground rushing for 458 yards and 7 scores.
Cripps has already attended a junior day at Baylor and has plans to visit both UTSA and Texas State this weekend. He's hoping his first offer comes soon.
"As of right now I don't have any official offers from anyone," Cripps said via text. "I've been to Baylor's junior day and I'm going to UTSA and Texas State this weekend."
TCU has shown heavy interest in Cripps with Clay Jennings as his primary recruiter. The signal caller said Jennings and TCU head coach Gary Patterson even stopped by his school a few weeks ago and he's also been in communication with Jarrett Anderson.
"They've been showing a lot of interest," Cripps said of TCU. "Coach Patterson actually came by the school with Coach Jennings and I've talked to the offensive coordinator a couple of times over the phone."
Cripps will attend the Frogs' junior day on February 23rd which will be the first time the signal caller has set foot on TCU's campus.
"I know they run basically the same offense I'm running right now," Cripps said.
As for early leaders, Cripps pointed to two programs that he's the most intrigued with at the moment.
"I really liked Baylor and I'm extremely excited to go see what TCU is like," Cripps said.
