Georgia Cornerback Talks Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers are ramping up extending offers to prospects now that they can focus their full attention to recruiting the class of 2014. talks with a Georgia standout who picked up a Tiger offer recently.

Earlier this week, 2013 CB prospect Christopher Murphy  5’11”  175  Marietta (GA) Lassiter received a scholarship offer from the Missouri Tigers.   

The talented defender spoke with, and he talked about his interest in Missouri, and updated us on his recruitment.

“Coach Grinch has been informing me about the school,”   said Murphy.   “I started talking to Coach Grinch about two weeks ago.  We’re just getting to know each other.”

Murphy said that he currently holds offers from 10 schools, including North Carolina, North Carolina State, Oklahoma State, Purdue, UConn, Utah, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and West Virginia, in addition to Missouri.

“I know that Missouri is a good school,”  explained Murphy, who said that academics will play a big part in his decision.   “I really want to take a visit to Missouri.”

Murphy reports a personal best of 4.40 seconds in the forty, 4.12 in the shuttle, and a 37” standing vertical.   He’s on pace to graduate from high school in December.
