Valley quarterback Robert Jones is planning to take a couple of trips to SEC schools in the coming weeks. FOX Sports Next has the latest.
Robert Jones was invited to come to Kentucky's Junior Day last weekend, but he didn't get to make it due to the ACT. However another couple SEC schools has invited him down.
"Mississippi State invited me to Junior Day in March," Jones said. "I've been talking to Arkansas. They're trying to get me down there for their Spring game and Junior Day," he said.
Western Kentucky and Louisville have also maintained contact. But Jones will be competing at a couple of high profile camps and could see his recruitment begin to pick up again.
"Hopefully I have a good showing at the NFTC (Nike Football Training Camp) and the Elite 11 and some more schools come along," Jones said.
As a junior Jones threw for 985 yards and 12 touchdowns and rushed for another 475 yards and four more touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is one of the best athletes in Kentucky.
