Florida DB grew up Miami fan
Cypress Bay was one of the best teams in all of Florida in 2012. Competing in Class 8A, the state's highest classification, they went all the way to the state title game. One of the big reasons for their success was due to the play of junior defensive back Deion Hallmon. At 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, Hallmon finished the season with six interceptions. He has very good cover skills, good ball skills, and the athleticism to make a lot of plays in the secondary. The recruiting process has gotten off to a fast start for Hallmon, who already claims a couple offers. "My offers are from Wake Forest and Purdue," Hallmon said. "My top four college choices are Kentucky, Miami, North Carolina, and Indiana." Growing up in South Florida, Hallmon says he's always favored the hometown Hurricanes. He explained why. "Miami was my favorite because my dad played defensive back for them," he said. The standout defensive back prospect talked about what he'll be looking for when choosing a school. "The most important thing I'll be looking for in a school is having a family and a good education as well," he said. "Also, great fans and students."
