Causey waiting his turn

On a high school team loaded with talent, Rashard Causey is one of the up-and-coming stars. The 2015 safety of University School (Fort Lauderdale, FL) has met plenty of college coaches as they've come through his school and he's looking forward to building his own offer list soon.

Rashard Causey said his football career is going well, he's just focused on improving his game and expects offers to follow.

"It's great, I'm just waiting on my turn to get my offers. Now I'm just working hard, trying to be the best in 2015, that's it," he said.

Plenty of college coaches have been through University School and Causey has had the opportunity to meet many of them.

"When colleges come, our coach calls us to the office and we'll introduce ourselves," he said.

In the future, the 6-foot, 185-pound athlete would like to hear from Georgia, LSU, Clemson, and especially Florida.

"(I like) the Florida defense, the defensive style and how they attack the ball. It reminds me of the same defense we run," he said.

Causey is constantly at work improving his game but he knows he can offer a lot to a program at the next level.

"I'm aggressive at the line, I like to bully receivers," he said.

"This spring, (I hope) to get as many offers as I can, to excel more than I did last year, and keep working toward having another great season like we had last year with the state championship."
