Marshall Visits MSU Again

Southfield (Mich.) junior defensive Lawrence Marshall talks about Thursday's Michigan State visit and the new schools interested in him.

Thursday, Michigan State hosted Southfield defensive end Lawrence Marshall, a one time Ohio State commit who reconsidered and has held a Spartan offer for some time.

"It was just all the same [as past visits]," he said. "We watched the basketball game and I talked to Moe Ways and a couple people from Country Day and I talked to Coach Dantonio."

The nature of the conversation with the Spartan head coach centered around not jumping into another quick decision.

"We were just talking about recruiting and he said take your time and find the right school."

In recent weeks, Marshall has added offers from schools like Mississippi, Oklahoma, and others. He says right now, it's too difficult to visit some of them, but he says, "I just want to get out there this summer, take a couple visits."

Alabama, Georgia and USC have also jumped into the picture recently, sending more mail and making contact. With more offers looming, Marshall is planning to take his time and continue seeing the schools he can get to.

"I'll probably go to Michigan State and Michigan for spring practice and possibly Ohio State."
