6-foot-5, 228 pound junior Darryl Long has become a hot commodity on the recruiting scene. The tight end has been picking up offers weekly, with his latest coming out of the ACC.
"North Carolina just offered me," said Long Tuesday afternoon. "The offer was a surprise; I haven't talked to them that much."
While Long is just beginning to learn about the Tar Heels, what he does know so far, he likes.
"They are a big time program and a great school. I also like that it isn't too far away from home. I like them a lot."
Long also holds offers from Bowling Green, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Purdue and Toledo. The TE does say that his newest offer is something he'll definitely consider.
"They're towards the top for sure. It's awesome to get an ACC offer. It's such an exciting conference to be in."
As for the rest of his recruitment, there are several other new schools the junior has been hearing from.
"Nebraska, Duke and Michigan State are the newest schools I've been talking to."
