Sam Sizelove, a 6-foot-3, 228-pound middle linebacker from Argyle (Texas) High committed to Kansas State over offers from schools like Houston, Iowa State, North Texas, SMU, Texas Tech, and Washington State.
As a junior for the Argyle Eagles, Sizelove made 140 tackles, six sacks, and forced three fumbles for an 11-2 team, earning District MVP (Defense) and First Team 3A All-State honors.
Sizelove is rated as a Scout.com three-star prospect, the No. 33 MLB nationally.
Sizelove is a very solid linebacker, who feasts in Texas 3A ball. He makes a ton of plays and seems like he is always around the football. He plays well in traffic, sniffing out running backs. He also uses his hands very well taking on and shedding blocks. He shows the ability to track down the ball carriers in the flats or the open field, impressing with his speed and lateral ability. On tape he seems thinner, but has added some nice weight in the off-season and is up to 228 pounds already. Could hold more weight easily.
