At 6-foot-4.5, 274-pounds, the soon to be junior is coming off a strong sophomore campaign where he earned All-Conference honors despite missing some games due to injury.
"I did real well," Williams told GoBlueWolverine. "I made All-Conference. I got injured for four of our games. But I still made it All-Conference. So, I think I had a successful season."
When asked about his playing style, Williams said he brings multiple tools to the playing field.
"I am a physical, strong, tough and I have a motor that just goes—I just keep going," Williams replied.
Currently, Williams has no offers but is hearing from Michigan, Iowa and Michigan State early on in his recruitment. With the Wolverine coaching staff stopping by his high school to check in with his head coach on his services.
"Yeah, Michigan came by and talked with my coaches," Williams said. "They say they have an interest and they want to keep it going."
But with two years of high school football remaining, Williams says he is just looking at all his options right now.
"I would say I have interest in every college," Williams explained. "I just want to play (college football)."
But Williams did say there was a chance he could camp at Michigan this year or just take an unofficial visit.
"I would like to camp up there," Williams said. "But I don't know (if it will be this summer). I will have to wait and see…I just want to experience it and see what is going on up there. I want to see how it is different than Chicago or similar."
As far as what he is looking for in a program, Williams said, "The people who are surrounded by (the program). The people that want to be there and how people are proud of the school. That's what I am looking for."
Williams acknowledged he would like to make an early decision if possible.
"I'm not sure, but I want to commit by the end of my junior year," Williams said.
