Dutchtown 2014 athlete Torrance Mosley earned his fifth offer earlier this month at UL camp...
performed up to advance billing in Lafayette, running a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash and faring nicely across the board in drills and one-on-one competition.
"The UL coaches worked me out at cornerback," said Mosley, primarily known for his offensive prowess at Dutchtown. "The next day after camp, I was on the phone with Coach (Tim) Rebowe and Coach Hud, and they offered."
The 5-9, 160-pounder has taken note of UL's success under head coach Mark Hudspeth, who signed Effrem Reed and Darrien Batiste out of Dutchtown in back-to-back classes.
"I'm not in a hurry to commit," Mosley said. "I also have offers from Tulane, Memphis, Grambling and Southern. Tulane offered at the beginning of spring, a week before practice started.
"Coach (David) Johnson said he wanted to offer me a scholarship to play wide receiver. Tulane said I'll get a shot on offense, which makes them more attractive because I like playing both sides of the ball."
Memphis is recruiting Mosley as a defensive back.
"Coach Galen Scott offered a couple of weeks before spring," he said. "I'm hearing from Arizona State and Louisiana Tech, too."
