OMAHA, Neb.-- UCLA head baseball coach John Savage claimed his Bruins "snuck away" with their 3-1 win over Mississippi State Monday night in Game 1 of the College World Series finals, calling starter Adam Plutko "fairly sharp" on the mound. Still, Plutko worked six strong innings. Defense will continue to be key as UCLA now sits just a game away from its first NCAA baseball title…

Junior right-hander Nick Vander Tuig will take the ball Tuesday night in Game 2. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. CST at TD Ameritrade Park.
