Williams Drawing Jackets Interest

Jacksonville (FL) Raines High School safety prospect Carlton Williams is hearing from two ACC schools this summer.

Jacksonville (FL) Raines High School safety Carlton Williams is still looking for his first offer but he has been hearing from a couple of schools this summer. The 5-foot-10 and 180-pound strong safety camped at Georgia Tech earlier this summer and caught the attention of the Yellow Jackets.

"Right now I don't have any offers but I have been getting looked at by several FBS schools," said Williams. "I have been hearing from Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech and Miami. They wanted to get me down to camp to see what I could do.

Williams said out of the three schools he has been hearing from Georgia Tech the most.

"Georgia Tech is number one because they are showing me the most interest, Georgia Southern and Miami. Vanderbilt has also sent me a couple of letters," said Williams when asked who he had heard from the most this summer.

Williams camped at Georgia Tech earlier this summer.

"It went pretty good. I got some positive feedback," said Williams of the Yellow Jackets camp.

Last season Williams totaled 45 tackles including 24 solo stops. He also had four sacks coming off the edge on blitzes and caused one fumble. Williams see's himself as a physical safety.

"I'm a hitter. I like the physical part of the game," said the safety.
