SW Analyst Jason Jewell breaks down college prospects from Phoenix (Az.) Christian HS

Team: Phoenix Christian
Eval: Versus Gilbert (Az.) Higley on 9/13

Breakdown

#2 J.J. Lyons - soph. WR/CB- Good football player that started both ways. Is a bit on the small side but didn't back down.

#7 Javay Roper - Sr. WR/DB- Possibly the best looking kid physically on the field. 6-3 215. Didn't dominate but he has some tools.

#11 Jordan Leary - Sr. WR/DB- Effective receiver but I think he could transition and play in the secondary in college.

#14 Byron Evans - Sr. LB- His first game this season as he waited to be cleared after transferring from Mt. Pointe and he was PC's top defensive player. Son of Arizona great Byron Evans. Showed good instincts, tackled well and made a lot of plays.

#44 Scottie Jordan - Sr. RB- What a performance Jordan had. He rushed for 445 yards, the most I have ever seen live. Showed good speed, has good size at 5-10 180, showed good hands out of the backfield. Can certainly play on Saturdays. I think D2s should be all over him but if he continues on this pace, some D1s may take notice.

#60 Justin Schlosser - Sr. OT/DL/LB- Typically plays both ways but only played LT in this game. At 6-3 220, he is not built to be an OL nor does he have the frame to be one at the next level. Could definitely be a DE in college and has the frame to be 250.
