The Answer

Question: Can you name the QB with the most passing yards in his very first start in college football history?

In 1990, quarterback Matt Vogler started for the injured Leon Clay, as TCU took on David Klinger and Houston. In that game, Vogler passes for 690 yards and lost to the Cougars 56-35.He finished 44/79 and threw for five scores. Klingler passed for 563 yards and seven touchdowns.

At the time, Vogler's yardage mark was the most in NCAA history. Ironically, Klinger now owns the single game record of 716 yards. He set that later on in that same year against Arizona State.
