POINT GUARDS
Chris Rodgers retains his position as the #1 point guard among the west coast senior class, without anyone really coming close to competing with him for the title. Rodgers is still gifted enough to play either guard position in college, but we think his mentality and skills make him a potentially dominating point guard. He’ll be a big-time player at Arizona. C.J. Watson had a terrific summer last year, which catapulted him on to the scene. He’s looked excellent so far during his senior season, and Tennessee is very thankful they stole him from the west. Ashanti Cook takes a sizeable jump to #3 on the list. While he’s still just getting the sense of how good he is, he has so much potential he deserves the accolades, and New Mexico will benefit from it all. Cal commit, Richard Midgley, hasn’t played a high school basketball game this year due to his ineligibility, but going on how good he was last summer still gets him the #4 ranking. Armando Surratt, a past #1 point guard in this class, is still vastly talented, but hasn’t refined his game as much as you’d like to see since last summer. Two uncommitted prospects, Keion Kindred and Jovance Coleman, come in at #6 and #7 – making Kindred one of the highest ranked players on the west coast that looks to qualify academically still left uncommitted. 1) Chris Rodgers, 6-3, Portland (Ore.) SHOOTING GUARDS
The top of the shooting guard rankings stay the same, with Hassan Adams maintaining a firm hold on the number one spot. Jayson Obazuaye moves up a few spots after a terrific performance in the Las Vegas Holiday Prep Classic. Antonio Lawrence makes his first appearance in our rankings since moving to the West Coast. Some readers may be suprised that he's not higher, given the national hype, but we feel he has a ways to go in his development and understanding of the game. He's a terrific athlete with a considerable upside but, taking everything into consideration, we don't see him as a better prospect than those who are ranked ahead of him.

SMALL FORWARDS
While Evan Burns is still the #1 small forward in the west coast, his lead is narrowing. While Burns is incredibly talented, and far more than anyone else on this list, there is some cracks in the armor. There is now, after a few years of watching Burns play, a question of whether he will bring the intensity, drive and determination to live up to his potential on the next level. With how talented he is, it would be a glorious thing to see the potential actually come to fruition. In the meantime, Brandon Roy is getting better and better up in the Northwest, and does have intensity and consistency. Marquis Kately is in the upper echelon of athletes, not only on the west coast, but in the country. Josh Rhodes would have a chance to be at the top of this list if he could bring it every time he's on the court. Justin Holt is probably a combo forward, and could very likely end up playing more on the baseline at Oregon State. But he has good perimeter skills and quickness and be very versatile on the next level.

POWER FORWARDS
In our updated rankings, we've decided to move D'Angelo Collins to the power forwards. Collins may never play college basketball but, if he does, he probably projects as a four man. David Paris climbs from the #4 slot up to #2. Paris has improved dramatically since the summer and looks like a different player, as he's trimmed down and become much quicker.

Ryan Hollins isn't far behind at #2, as he continues to improve at a rapid rate.Rodrique Benson has rocketed up the rankings, going from a player of note to the #3 spot.
