SEATTLE – Fans across the country will begin to discover what fans in college football’s hotbed – the Southeast – have known for years.

That Jamie Newberg is the most inside, knowledgeable and insightful expert on the subject of college football recruiting.

Starting today, Newberg’s coverage of the nation’s top 200 college football prospects will be featured at TheInsidersRecruiting.com (http://recruiting.theinsiders.com), the national recruiting site of TheInsiders.com network which Newberg will operate.

Newberg’s other site, BorderWars.com, which covers recruiting in the Southeast, has been the top recruiting site on the Internet since 1996, when it was founded along with Border Wars magazine and the Border Wars 900 line.

"Jamie Newberg obviously is the king of recruiting, not only in the Southeast, but in the entire country," said Jim Heckman, the CEO of TheInsiders.com. "We have the top group of recruiting experts in the country, and he is our leader and go-to guy. Now our fans will get his extraordinary coverage, as usual, at BorderWars.com, as well as more of him at the national site. I personally am very pleased to have Jamie representing our network’s great recruiting coverage because he is the best and this will give the rest of the country the opportunity to discover that for themselves."

Scott Kennedy, who covers the Southeast with Newberg at BorderWars.com, said, "While honesty and integrity aren't learned skills, they're the thing about Jamie that I admire the most and how I pattern my work ethic. No one in this business is more trusted by players and coaches, and that's the type of reputation I hope to share one day."

Newberg will continue to cover the Southeast at BorderWars.com. In addition to operating his Border Wars group, Newberg also is the recruiting analyst on Fox Sports Net South's "Countdown to Signing Day."

"I am so excited about running TheInsidersRecruiting.com national site that I cannot even express it in words," Newberg said. "It is a new challenge and a new beginning. My goal is to make this the No. 1 national recruiting site on the Internet and I will not rest until I accomplish my mission. I am up to the challenge and ready to go."

At TheInsidersRecruiting.com, Newberg will track and evaluate the top 200 prospects in the country. He also will call upon the work of TheInsiders.com’s other top-notch recruiting experts – such as national basketball editor Dave Telep and Tracy Pierson, and football experts Kennedy, Mike Bakas, Greg Biggins, Brentt Eads, Max Emfinger, Chris Fetters, David Garvin, Duane Long, Kevin Lustgarten, and Chris Pool.

"To start something like this is a real challenge but it certainly helps to have an All-Star team of regional experts like we have," Newberg said. "They will offer a tremendous advantage."
