Chatham, Va. - Hargrave Military Academy is a funnel to Division One schools, and Tommy Pizzurro, 6-3/300 3-Stars by Scout.com, is the latest to make a decision.

"I committed to Kent State," said Tommy Pizzurro. "They were the first to offer me, and I just want to be secure in knowing where I'm going to be playing my college ball so I can focus on the rest of my season."

A solid season it has been so far for Pizzurro and the Hargrave Tigers.

"We lost our first game to South Alabama; they're a varsity team. But we've one all of our games since then. We have Marshall tomorrow and then we finish with Fork Union. I've been starting at right guard all season."

Head Coach Robert Prunty has coached as many future collegians as any coach in the country, and he likes what he sees in Pizzurro.

"I'll tell you what," said Prunty, "Kent State got a steal tonight. He's a big time player."

Pizzurro played his senior season at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., another program familiar with producing college players.

Here is Pizzurro in action from his high school days:
