Underclassmen steal the show in week 10 of the Stars of Alabama:

Michael Lindsey
5-10, 160 pounds
Sophomore Athlete
Elba High School

Lindsay had 14 tackles and returned an interception 45 yards. Offensively, the freshman rushed for 59 yards on two carries including a 24-yard score. He returned three punts for 92 yards including one for a 72-yard score in the team's 42-6 win over Zion Chapel. Elba finished the season 10-0 and the #1 seed from region 2. They will host Excel this week.

Jonathan Redd
5-10, 155 pounds
Junior quarterback
Mobile Christian School

Redd completed 12-of-21 passing attempts for 335 yards scoring three times. He rushed for 70 yards on 15 carries in the 27-8 win over Cottage Hill.

Dylan Whitsett
6-2, 180 pounds
Senior quarterback
Cameron Smallwood
5-11, 165 pounds
Junior wide receiver
Millry High School

Whitsett surpassed the 2,000-yard mark in passing this season when he completed five of his seven attempts for 164 yards. Three of those completions resulted in touchdowns, all thrown to Smallwood for 52, 25 and 34 yards. Smallwood also rushed for two more touchdowns and returned an interception for a score in the 48-6 win over John Essex. Millry's season continues this week when they travel to face the second seed, Houston Academy.

Scott Chapman
5-8, 150 pounds
Junior defensive back
Clements High School

Chapman recovered a fumble and returned it 23 yards for a touchdown in a 16-8 win over East Lawrence. The junior also picked off two passes in the game. Clements will travel to face the second seed in region 7, Winston County.

Taylor Thrash
5-11, 180 pounds
Senior running back
Fyffe High School

Thrash set a record as the team's all-time leading rusher last week, and this past week he padded his lead. He rushed for 166 yards on 13 carries scoring twice in his team's 54-21 win over West End. The senior will look to add to his 4,252 career yards when they visit Lineville this week as the third seed from region 6.

Michael Bradford
5-9 ,165 pounds
Senior quarterback
Lamar County High School

Bradford led his team to a 10-0 record with a 48-0 win over Isabella. The senior rushed for 127 yards on 10 carries and scored on runs of 46 and 54 yards.

Graham Dunlap
5-8, 145 pounds
Senior kicker
G.W. Long High School

Long's kicker, Mason Childers, tried a 27-yard field goal as time expired to defeat Ariton 38-36, but he missed. The senior kicker was roughed by the Purple Cats. The team's second kicker, Dunlap, came in for the re-try and made the 19-yard kick that did, in fact, win the game for G.W. Long. Their season ended with a 5-5 record.

Aspen Peterson
5-8, 200 pounds
Senior running back/linebacker
Lanett High School

Peterson rushed for 132 yards on 14 carries in a partial game for the senior. He scored two touchdowns in the 33-0 win over 3A LaFayette. Lanett will travel with plenty of play-off experience to face the top seeded Ider this week.

George Price
6-2, 175 pounds
Senior athlete
St. Jude Educational Institute

Price intercepted two passes, threw a touchdown pass for 23 yards, ran for a 71-yard touchdown and returned a kick 92 yards for a touchdown. The senior and his team defeated Autaugaville 42-14. They will travel to play the second seed, Hale County, this week.

Brock Kirby
5-8, 155 pounds
Senior receiver/defensive back
Glencoe High School

Kirby made six tackles on defense. He caught two touchdown passes and kicked the game winning 33-yard field goal in the 17-14 win over 4A Hokes Bluff. Glencoe finished the season 8-2, the No. 3 seed from region 5. They will travel this week to play Sardis.

Ty Rooks
5-8, 145 pounds
Senior running back
Dustyn Cooper
5-8, 150 pounds
Junior running back
Anthony Wright
5-8, 160 pounds
Sophomore quarterback
Geraldine High School

Rooks rushed for 82 yards on 11 carries, scoring on runs of 64 and two yards in the 33-12 win over Valley Head. The senior also caught a 72-yard touchdown pass. Cooper rushed for 164 yards on 12 carries with a 35-yard touchdown run. Wright completed three of his four pass attempts for 99 yards and a touchdown. Geraldine will travel this week to face the top seed from region 3, Clay County.
