Magallanes shortstop Elvis Andrus singled once and drove home one run in four at-bats.

Dominican Winter League

Gigantes del Cibao designated hitter Nelson Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.

Julio Borbon’s average dropped to .217 after he went without a hit in five at-bats, striking out twice.

Esteban German batted leadoff and played left field for the Toros on Saturday. He was 1-for-3 with a base on balls.
