Treasure Coast's defense was as good as advertised, but Apopka's was better. The Blue Darter's needed a goal line stand with under four to go to secure the victory.

Miramar's defense continues to dominate and QB Ryan Williams was hot throwing for 4 TD's as the Patriot's put it on cruise control for the third straight week.

Central rushed 226 yards and Jeffrey Godfrey threw for 195 yards as the Rocket's advanced to their first 6A semifinal.

SUMMARY: Pretty much went as expected, four one loss teams remain and it certainly looks like a competitive 6A Title game again this year in two weeks. Not much travel involved for the road teams here.

Lakeland 43, Fleming Island 29
Lakeland scored 28 in the first quarter, but only led 28-26 at the half. Javares McRoy was too much as he had over 100 yards both rushing and receiving as the Dreadnaughts advance.
Plant 24, Countryside 9
The Panthers forced four turnovers and put the game away with a James Wilder TD run in the 4th quarter.

Manatee 31, Bayside 14
A late first half TD pass by Brion Carnes put Manatee up 21-7 and the Hurricanes had no worries from there. It is their 11th Regional Title.
St. Thomas 28, Ely 16
Ely led at the half, but a Marcus Roberson interception put the Raider's over the top as they won their 37th straight game.

SUMMARY: A whopping 17 State Titles are represented in these semi-final match-ups. While Plant is a relative newcomer, they have two of the last 3 in 4A. Plant will have an easy trip down I-4 to Lakeland, St. Thomas is not so lucky, a cross-state 3.5 hour trip to Manatee awaits.

Niceville 45, Lincoln 31
Niceville remained unbeaten as they beat Lincoln for a second time in a game that went back and forth. The Eagle's won the 4th quarter 21-10, RB Roy Finch ran for 193 and had a 97 yard kickoff return.
Edgewater 41, Tarpon Springs 20
Head Coach Bill Gierke won his 250th game as the Eagle's ran all over the Spongers. Edgewater jumped out to an early lead and eventually extended that to 41-7.

Armwood 25, Charlotte 17
Armwood created four turnovers and two long Josh Grady TD passes(45 yards to A.J. King and 70 to Deandre Fulton) were the difference in a hard fought win.

Dwyer continues to roll behind an explosive offense and a top defense.

It is not often that you win with zero yards and zero first downs in the first half, but Pensacola accomplished it Friday night. A 4th quarter 14 play, 90 yard TD drive sealed the deal with 2:38 to play.

Jefferson went to their ground game as they controlled from start to finish. Quarterback Quentin Williams keyed the victory with over 200 all purpose yards.

Lake Wales 276 yards and 16 points were enough as the Highlander defense shutdown the Lightning's rushing attack.

With the game tied 20-20(under two minutes to go), Belen's Manny Sicre scored from 14 yards out to secure the win and Belen's first ever semi-final appearance.

SUMMARY: Great match-up with Jefferson's offense vs. the great Pensacola defense.....it is a 7 hour journey for Jefferson. Not many would have called a Lake Wales-Belen semi-final.

Another heart-breaker for Godby as they bow out of the playoffs for the second year in a row to Cocoa by one point---and another blocked extra point did them in.
Glades Central 33, Robinson 0
Glades Central held Robinson to 28 total yards and QB L.J. Thomas threw 3 TD's (two to Greg Dent) as the Raider's get to Orlando.

A couple of undefeated teams square off in a battle of heavyweights. The game of the opening weekend.

Bolles 55, Pensacola Catholic 0
A 90 yard punt return TD by Jawan Jamison ignited a Bolles offense that scored 55 points and held the talented duo of Marquis Sumler and Shawn White scoreless. Bolles will get an opportunity to defend their title next week.
Tampa Catholic 7, Chaminade 6
Henry McCloud's 55 yarder was all the Crusader's needed as they held on to beat Chaminade. The Lion's missed a crucial extra point and a field goal in the final 13 minutes.

No surprise to see Bolles in Orlando, excellent run by Tampa Catholic, they are battle tested and should be ready to compete.

Trinity Christian scored early and often as they rushed for 309 yards and threw for 156.

American Heritage handed the Miners their first loss of the year as they rushed for over 200 yards in a slugfest.
