Scouting Report: Abrams has great instincts which allow him to cover a lot of ground in the secondary. He is an excellent tackler with plus closing speed. Abrams has good size at 6'1, 190 and will need to continue to develop his coverage skills by adding quickness. Abrams could play either safety spot and can be moved inside the box to help against the run. -Geoff Vogt

Commit Date: 7/18/09
Committed Over: Florida, Miami (Fl), Mississippi, Purdue, South Florida, UCF
Scouting Report: Brooks is an excellent athlete who used his playmaking skills to make a lot of big plays in the secondary. He relied more on those than he did on pure cover skills to get by at this level. He'll need to develop into a better cover guy at the college level but he's got excellent speed and ball skills to make a difference. -- Mike Bakas

Scouting Report: Cummings is a bit of a tweener today on the defensive line, he has DE size today, but a higher ceiling at DT. The weight and strength should come relatively easily. He possesses an excellent first step which allows him to wreak havoc in the backfield. He uses his hands extremely well at the point of attack and has enough speed to make tackles when trailing the play. -Geoff Vogt

Scouting Report: Dent is one the top play-makers in the state on both sides of the ball. He had a brilliant senior campaign at WR, particularly in the playoff push. Dent simply knows how to play the game and stepped up when it counted most. He runs precise routes and has enough physicalness to create mismatches with smaller DBs. He could play S or WR at the next level, he prefers WR, many colleges prefer him on the defensive side of the ball. -Geoff Vogt

Commit Date: 8/27/09
Committed Over: Clemson, Georgia, Miami (Fl)
Scouting Report: Erving is a big body that takes up space as a defensive tackle. He is strong at the point of attack and can drive his blocker back into the backfield. He needs to improve his pad level and footwork if he wants to stay on the DL. He has the ability and size to be a very good offensive lineman too if defense does not work out. - South Recruiting Manager Chad Simmons

Paramus Catholic (NJ)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 49
Committed to: FLORIDA STATE
Commit Date: 2/3/10
Committed Over: Boston College, Cincinnati, Illinois, Louisville, Rutgers, UCF, Virginia
Scouting Report: Foose is very powerful, especially in his upper body where he uses a strong hand punch to throw defenders away at the snap. He uses his arms to keep separation and does a good job controlling his man and opening holes. His drive blocking can be devastating at times. Foose also does a more then adequate job of pulling and getting to the second level, making blocks in space and showing great hustle and pride in his game. – Matt Alkire

Tampa Catholic (FL)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 5
Committed to: FLORIDA STATE
Commit Date: 2/3/10
Committed Over: Florida, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State, South Florida, Tennessee, USC
Scouting Report: Green is an outstanding athlete. He could play quarterback on the next level, but he is best on the edge at receiver. His size (6-2/185) and speed (sub 4.5 in the 40 yard dash) make him a weapon anywhere on the field. Being used to playing QB, he will have to work on route running, downfield blocking, and things of that nature, but his speed and playmaking ability make him a top wideout. - Chad Simmons - South Region Analyst

Lakeland Senior (FL)
Rating:
Pos Rank: 48

Commit Date: 7/22/09
Committed Over: Florida, Louisville, Marshall, Ohio State, South Florida, Tennessee
Scouting Report: Haggins is a three year starter at QB, but will find a home at WR or S at the next level. Athletically he has an excellent package of size, speed, quickness, and has proven to be a tough, durable player. Those qualities should make him an excellent S down the road after he learns the finer points of the position. -Geoff Vogt

Scouting Report: Some projected Jacobs as an offensive lineman but he's shown that he can be an effective inside guy on the other side of the ball. Jacobs has a good first step and fires off the ball low at times but sometimes comes off a little high like most guys his age. He has good size and a frame that can add more weight. Learning more pass rushing moves and refining his technique are area that he will continue to work on.

Scouting Report: Johnson is one of the most electric players in the state in space. He can make defenders miss inside a phone booth. He has the speed to blow past DBs and get down the field. It is hard to find a player who enjoys competition as much as Johnson. He has great hands, but has been forced to play QB. He has a very slight build which will hurt his ability to block and get off jams at the line of scrimmage. -Geoff Vogt

Scouting Report: Jones is considered by some to be the state's top linebacker prospect this year in Florida. He has ideal size, big time athletic ability, and he made a lot of plays over the last few years. He doesn't have great coverage skills, however, and you'd like to see him being more explosive in his tackling with that size. -- Mike Bakas

Commit Date: 12/9/09

Scouting Report: Speed kills and Joyner may be the fastest football player, in pads, in the entire state of Florida. Joyner should join a handful of players in all of college football right now who can change the image of a game with just one touch. With long limbs and a great leaping ability he has the ability to cover taller receivers and lower center of gravity to change direction with smaller receivers.

Scouting Report: Luc is like a freak of nature on the high school level. He has size of an NFL linebacker and he plays on another level. He can overpursue the ball at times or jump the play every now and then, but he is the elite of the elite. He hits with force, he drives his body through the offensive player, he moves down hill in a hurry, he is a sure tackler, and he moves in space better than many would expect. Luc is ready for college now. - Chad Simmons

Scouting Report: Sessions is as athletic as they come at his size. His backgorund in basketball has helped with his coordination and footwork at tight end and defensive end. He needs to play with the football mentality, add strength, and work on blocking. Hands, quickness, size, and athleticism are his biggest strengths and he could have a bright future on the gridiron if he focuses on that sport. - Chad Simmons - South Recruiting Analyst

Scouting Report: Shaw is a wiry wide receiver that needs to get bigger and stronger for the next level. He is a very lean receiver that struggles if a corner gets there hands on him, but when he is free he runs very good routes and catches the ball with very god consistency. He has great feet, he gets in and out of his break well, and he does a good job of attacking the football. - South Recruiting Manager Chad Simmons

Scouting Report: A tailback in the body of a fullback, Smiley is a huge power back that is light on his feet and agile enough to play tailback in any type of offense. He can make a guy miss, or at least get him off balance to the point that he can pull away from a would be tackler, or lower his pads and bury him. Smiley runs behind his pads extremely well and rarely gives opponents a look at anything except shoulder pads, knees, and helmet - Scott Kennedy, Scout.

Scouting Report: Plays the game at a faster speed than a forty time would make you think. Linebacker is still new to Smith, but he has a very high ceiling. He just has instincts that always keep him around the ball and he has the size that many schools covet at his position. He really does a nice job of playing within himself, not over-pursuing the ball, and making sure tackles. He still needs to work on disengaging from blockers. - Chad Simmons

Scouting Report: The son of a college football coach, Trickett has a lot of tools to become very successful at the next level. He has a live arm, he can make plays with his feet, he throws a very catchable ball, he's very accurate, and he won a couple state championships at the prep level that showed off his leadership skills. -- Mike Bakas

Scouting Report: Willie Tye is a very athletic, very fast tight end prospect that simply needs to put it all together on the field and when he does, he has great upside. Tye does a nice job finding soft spots in zones to get open and even when he's tightly covered is physical enough to make the tough catch. Is both an intermediate and deep threat and can make people miss in open space. The biggest concern with Tye is just consistent effort. - Matt Alkire

Scouting Report: Werner is an awesome, but raw specimen. He is very strong at the point of attack, using his long arms very well and has a quick burst into the backfield. He can be dominant at times up front and has the closing speed to catch up to just about anybody. Werner shows great athleticism for his size in coverage and often knocks down balls. He plays with a nasty streak and is a punishing hitter. With proper coaching, the sky is the limit. – Matt Alkire
