1.Mullen Mustangs
Is the third time a charm for Mullen? The pieces are there but, key players from last year’s team have moved on. Friday night at Chap is the first step toward defending the title.
2.Arvada West Wildcats
Coming off an 11-2 semifinalist season it is tough to call A-west a sleeper, but this team is talented, focused and flying under the radar.
3.Chaparral Wolverines
Too much talent in too many places not to be a factor. The QB controversy could be a problem, but may help focus the team.
4.Fort Collins Lambkins
For the first time in quite a while offense will lead the way for the Lambkins. Expect the D to catch up and for Fort Collins to be tough on both sides of the ball by playoffs.
5.Pomona Panthers
This is a hardnosed team that knows what it takes to win. Remember, the Panthers were a score away from a title last year.
6.Grandview Wolves
Once again the defense will be very good. A big offensive line and strong running game will make the Wolves tough to beat.
7.ThunderRidge Grizzlies
Can the defense take care of business while a new set of offensive players find their footing?
8.Douglas County Huskies
Talent and a great big chip on their shoulders make DC a scary team to face this season.
9.Highlands Ranch Falcons
The Falcons return talent all over the field.
10.Columbine Rebels
Rebel ball makes every game a fight that Columbine always has a chance to win.
