The Yankees drafted right-handed pitcher Branden Pinder in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Long Beach State. A great command starting pitcher in college, his stuff quickly developed out of the bullpen for the Staten Island Yankees in his debut season last year and that allowed him to have a great success right out of the gate.
