Jemile Weeks earned the Arizona Fall League's Player of the Week award on Monday for the league's third week. It is the second consecutive time that an A's prospect has been given the award. Grant Desme won it for week two. Weeks earned the award by hitting .533 with three doubles and two triples and scoring four runs. He got off to a good start in week four by collecting two hits and extending his AFL hitting streak to eight games.

Weeks is one of three A's position player prospects to be playing well in the AFL right now. A's prospects Grant Desme and Corey Brown were the other two nominees for the week three award. Desme is leading the AFL in numerous offensive categories, while Corey Brown has a 1071 OPS. Weeks, through Monday, has a 918 OPS and 12 runs scored in 12 games.
