Prisco Gives Cleveland Browns a B

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports gave the Browns a grade of B. See the video and some thoughts before weighing in.

The Cleveland Browns, and their fans, are used to being at the end of jokes. So far this offseason, that has not happened.

Instead most are pretty impressed with what the Browns did in free agency, like CBS Sports' Pete Prisco:

A "B" is not a bad grade but let us break down what led Prisco to give the Browns this grade.

He notes the positive additions to the offensive line in J.C. Tretter and Kevin Zeitler and the graphic shows the additions of Kenny Britt and Brock Osweiler, but doesn't include the 2nd Rounder the team also got along with the tall QB.

Those additions seem to be the positives for Prisco but instead of noting that the Browns lost Terrelle Pryor as the reason to knock them down, from perhaps an "A", Prisco notes that they still haven't addressed the quarterback position.

The problem with this being noted as a negative is that this piece was "Free Agency Grades." Who did Prisco want the Browns to sign at QB in Free Agency? Mike GlennonBrian HoyerGeno SmithNick Foles?

It is possible that Osweiler is better than any of those signed in free agency, so knocking the Browns for not addressing the QB spot in Free Agency is a bit illogical.

Prisco is right that the moves the Browns make won't really matter unless they fill the QB void. Thankfully, the NFL Draft is coming up and that is almost always the best place to address that need.

Maybe after the Draft Prisco will give the Browns entire offseason an "A" grade. For now, due to the moves they made, and didn't make, he's giving them a solid "B".

Winning the offseason is never very meaningful anyways, right?
