With just over three minutes remaining, Mustang Kari Dupperon hit a three-pointer to give the Mustangs a seven-point cushion. But AFA's 6 foot sophomore forward Jennifer Roesch would answer with a four-point play hitting a trey at the shot-clock buzzer and adding a free throw bringing the score close at 60-57 with less than 2 minutes in the game.
After forcing a turnover, Roesch then force a turnover and scored another three-pointer to tie the game up.
With five lead changes in overtime, AFA's Wendy Stillman would hit two free throws with 1:20 remaining to give Air Force a one-point lead. After gaining two offensive rebounds the Falcons ran the clock down to 21 seconds when two free throws by Latoya Howell sealed the victory for Air Force.
The Falcons will have two weeks off before returning to California to take on Cal Irvine on December 21st in a one-game road trip. Tip off is set for 8 p.m. MST.
