Women's Basketball Runs Record To 8-1

The Alabama women's basketball team improved to 8-1 following a 90-56 victory over Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Saturday in Coleman Coliseum. The Crimson Tide had four players score in double-figures, led by senior forward Tierney Jenkins and freshman forward Kaneisha Horn who both contributed 18 points.

Alabama took a 41-27 lead into halftime and expanded that lead to as many as 34 by the end of the game. The Tide forced 28 turnovers which resulted in 33 points. Alabama connected on 46.5 percent of its shots, including 42.9 percent from beyond the three-point line.

The Tide returns to the hardwood on Sunday, Dec. 12, when it takes on Kansas on the road. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m. CT.
