Junior Day in Tuscaloosa

The University of Alabama is looking ahead to the class of 2012 with a full house of junior prospects including all five commitments in next year's class. FoxSports/Scout.com takes a look at several of the recruits heading to the Capstone this weekend. One official visitor is a possibility.

Possible visitor

Nickolas Brassell, National 100 wide receiver from Batesville-South Panola, Miss., is penciled in as an official visitor. He has missed other trips, so it's up in the air if he will show. The Ole Miss Rebels appear in the driver's seat for his signature.

The verbal pledges in the class of 2012 will help welcome other juniors to the Tide's campus including National 100 recruits Eddie Williams, safety from Panama City Beach-Arnold, Fla., Reggie Ragland, middle linebacker from Madison-Bob Jones, Ala., and Dakota Ball, defensive tackle from Lindale-Pepperell, Ga., will visit.

Two Tide commitments from Prattville, quarterback Justin Thomas and defensive end Caleb Gulledge, will arrive in Tuscaloosa along with teammate Justin Shanks who is a National 100 prospect. Shanks is one of the most-sought after defensive linemen in the South.

Hueytown duo

Jameis Winston, National 100 quarterback, will likely visit Tuscaloosa along with teammate and wide receiver Cameron Broadnax. The wide out sat out last season after transferring from Homewood.

In-state hot prospects

The UA staff welcomes several of the state's top recruits including Kelton Brackett, cornerback from Prichard-Blount, Tyler Nero, defensive tackle from Escambia County, Marcus Turner, cornerback from McCalla-McAdory, T.J. Yeldon, running back from Daphne, Kyron Samuels, offensive guard from Fairhope, Alphonse Taylor, defensive tackle from Mobile-Davidson, Caleb Peterson, offensive guard from Auburn, Darius Philon, defensive end from Pritchard-Vigor and teammate offensive guard Paul Kyles.

Peach State

Ricky Parks, tight end from Hogansville-Calloway, has scholarship offers from Clemson, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Joe Harris, offensive guard from Lithonia, has several offers including Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia and South Carolina. Dalvin Tomlinson, defensive end from Henry County in McDonough, has offers from Auburn, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

More out-of-staters

This is not a complete list of juniors expected for the weekend, but a few who have confirmed their trip in the last couple of weeks.
