Why Alabama: "Alabama has been my school since I was young, and they were first to offer. So I just took it. They surprised me with an offer. Alabama is always where I wanted to go since I was little, so I just accepted the offer from them.
"There was no point in me waiting to make my decision. This has been my dream my whole life to play at Alabama. Hopefully I can go up there and make an impact similar to Julio Jones. I know I have to go in there and work hard. It's going to take a lot of effort from my part to be able to make that type of impact. I plan to work as hard as I can to play early at Alabama.
"I love how they play football up there. They do things the right way. That is where I feel at home."
Strengths/Improvements: "I am really good at jumping. I can get up real high. I am long too. I am trying to improve my short routes. That's all I really need right there."
Andrew Bone says: Shinn is an elite receiver prospect who has the ability to contribute early. He has excellent size and length. He has excellent speed and does a great job creating separation. Shinn is quick and can make plays in the open field.
