Landon Collins, four-star safety from Geismar-Dutchtown, La., was one of the top uncommitted prospects who arrived in Tuscaloosa on Sunday. Collins has Alabama among his top schools along with LSU> He plans to announce his decision at the Under Armour All-America game in January.
T.J. Yeldon, four-star running back from Daphne, Ala., has Alabama as one of his top two schools along with Auburn. Yeldon can play multiple positions with the Tide looking closely as a running back. Teammate and Alabama commitment Ryan Anderson, three-star defensive end, is also camping in Tuscaloosa.
Jelani Hamilton, four-star defensive end from Fort Lauderdale-St. Thomas Aquinas, Fla., is camping in Tuscaloosa.
Several Alabama commitments will work-out on Monday including Eddie Williams, five-star safety from Panama City-Arnold, Fla., Dillon Lee, four-star outside linebacker from Buford, Ga., and Tyler Hayes, four-star outside linebacker from Thomasville, Ala.
Players hoping to earn scholarship offers from the Tide this week include Kyron Samuels, three-star center from Fairhope, Ala., Matt Cochran, three-star center from Atwater-Buhach County, Calif., and Jamichael Winston, three-star defensive end
from Prichard-Vigor, Ala.
Samuels, nephew to Chris Samuels, has been a lifelong Alabama fan. He moved to center this spring and hopes to show the Tide coaching staff he can play the position. Cochran, with 10 scholarship offers, is originally from Alabama. He lived in Houston for five years before moving to California when he was a sophomore. Winston missed his entire junior season due to injury, but has collected close to 15 scholarship offers. He is currently 6-foot-6, 230-pounds.
Duron Carter is in Tuscaloosa with his father, Cris Carter, watching the Tide's camp and spending time with future teammates. Carter is projected to enroll at Alabama in July.
The state's top prospect, Kwon Alexander five-star outside linebacker from Oxford, Ala., plans to visit on Tuesday.
Several members from the class of 2013 are set to camp this week include Earnest Robinson, wide receiver from Pinson Valley, Ala., Cameron Toney, linebacker from Huntsville, Ala., Rueben Foster, linebacker from LaGrange-Troup County, Ga., and
Bradley Bozeman, offensive guard from Roanoke-Handley, Ala. Foster and Robinson have scholarship offers from Alabama.
