Morgan, a 6-2 left-handed pitcher, was selected with the 120th pick overall by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round. Morgan finished his junior campaign with a 5-7 record, with a 4.64 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 97.0 innings pitched. For his career, Morgan has a 16-14 overall record with a 5.09 ERA and 193 strikeouts in 245.2 innings pitched.
Dugas was selected in the eighth round by the Chicago Cubs. The 249th pick overall, Dugas posted a .349 average and hit eight home runs to lead the Crimson Tide in 2011. In three years at Alabama, he has a career batting average of .365, with 263 total hits, 12 home runs and 97 runs batted in.
Kilcrease was the 916th pick overall and was selected by the Oakland A's in the 30th round. The 5-6 right-handed pitcher led the Tide with eight wins in 2011, finishing his senior season with an 8-4 record and a 3.12 ERA. He led the team with 88 strikeouts in a team-high 101.0 innings pitched. Kilcrease completed his career at Alabama with a 23-11 overall record, with a 3.21 ERA and 240 strikeouts in 278.0 innings.
Bennett was the fourth player drafted and was the 1017th player selected overall. The San Francisco Giants picked the senior catcher in the 33rd round. Bennett was third on the 2011 club with a .338 batting average and led the team with 21 sacrifice bunts. Defensively, he made just three errors in 379 chances to post a team-best .992 fielding percentage. He also threw out 21 runners on the base paths.
Alabama also had three signees selected in the 2011 MLB Draft. Junior college pitcher Ian Gardeck was picked in the eighth round by the Chicago White Sox. The 6-2 right handed pitcher out of Angelina College was the 261st pick overall. William (Justin) Kamplain, a left-handed pitcher from Walker High School, was selected in the 22nd round by the St. Louis Cardinals. Taylor Guilbeau was the final player selected when the New York Yankees picked the lefty from Zachary High School in Zachary, La., with the 1199th pick overall in the 39th round.
